I want to visit community groups, schools and projects across the region. I believe that you have to talk and more importantly listen to people about the issues that concern them and the ideas they have for making their communities better places to live and work. Veronica German congratulates Councillor Brian Thomas in his new role as the first ever Lib Dem Mayor of Blaenau Gwent Had a great afternoon in Tredegar for Brian Thomas’ Civic Service to celebrate his installation as Mayor of Blaenau Gwent. Well done to Brian - the first ever Liberal Democrat Mayor of this area. He has been a ward member in Sirhowy for the last 37 years and is now looking forward to this new challenge. Guests were well looked after in the Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre with entertainment from the very talented teenager from Tredegar, Kristian Morse. A very good day! Opening of the garden to celebrate the Ryder Cup being held in Newport South Wales in 2010. |
